El Gaucho is thrilled to partner with the Boeing Classic, an Official Event on the PGA Tour, which is held this week at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge. El Gaucho will be the exclusive food provider for three days in the All Nippon Airways (ANA) Dreamliner Lounge, located on the 18th green. Over 150 guests are expected to be served each day in the sold-out Lounge.
Formerly known as the Champions Club, the Lounge provides one of the best views on the course to watch the legends of golf compete. Indoor and outdoor seating is provided, with HDTV screens available to keep up on the rest of the course action, as well as front row seats to watch the 2012 Champion on the 18th green.
Over 80,000 fans and 1,800 volunteers are expected over the week-long event. While the main event is a $2 million purse featuring legends of golf 50 years of age and older, there are many events throughout the week, including the Korean Air PRO-AM; Rumble at the Ridge, with the Seattle Seahawks; Emirates Youth Clinic, hosted by 1988 Masters Champion Sandy Lyle; Grapes on the Green wine event and auction at The Golf Club at Newcastle; Military Appreciation Day; and Kids Day.
Beneficiaries this year include Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason Medical Center for their Autoimmune Disease Research; and First Tee of Greater Seattle, whose mission is to “impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.” In the tournament’s seven year history, nearly $3.7 million has been raised for the Heart Institute at Virginia Mason Medical Center, the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason, and additional Greater Seattle charities.
Make plans to attend this terrific event in our own backyard. Tickets are still available and can be found on their website at http://www.boeingclassic.com. We hope to see you there!
