A Word from Chad ~ November 2016

Now that fall has arrived, we finally get a chance to put our two boys to work, and they’ve been earning money raking the leaves that are piling up around our neighborhood. We have also come to a major milestone for El Gaucho – 20 years in Seattle! As part of our 20th anniversary, our company is focused on pulling together with you, our El Gaucho community, to support our troops and their families in partnership with USO Northwest. We talk about our team and the importance of a having a “heart of hospitality.” USO Northwest and more than 400 volunteers live that mission every day as they serve over 650,000 military and their families each year.

The Army side of Joint Base Lewis/McChord is the largest concentration of military and their families without a USO presence. These USO hospitality centers are fundamental to the mission of USO Northwest as they provide a place of community building and connections for our military personnel and their families. Our goal is that together, we can raise over $160k to build Camp Lewis Hospitality center and provide funds to operate it for a year.

We are closing the Seattle restaurant on Veteran’s Day, November 11th, to host a private party and auction to help raise those funds. We also are going to match straight donations up to $250 to the USO Camp Lewis Center, with Reveler’s Club reward dollars that can be used in January. Between now and November 11th, we are collecting donations through USO-NW.

It is so easy to click and donate, and whether your donation is $10 or $1,000, every dollar is vital to supporting this mission.

We thank you in advance for your generosity and respect for our service men and women and the incredible work of the USO Northwest team. We can think of no better way to celebrate our anniversary than by giving back to those who give so much for us.
